6 days policy
Here in the Philippines some schools incorporate the rule that there should be at least 6 school days in a week maybe to provide the students to perform well in their studies and maybe help them learn more stuff rather faster than the ordinary 5 school days a week. One of the schools I know who incorporate this type of policy is dlsu, most of the students of dlsu go to school until Saturday which makes it rather hard for the students since they have to go to school 6 days a week, but the only bright side of this policy is that it lets that students graduate rather faster since normally courses around the Philippines are up to 4 years compared to 3 years by dlsu.
So what does the 6 days policy really do? It helps the students with their studies rather faster than normal school because of the additional day for them to do some schoolwork. Another thing is that they can help students make up time since the course they have is only up to 3 years, which is a rather fast way of taking your course.
The pros of this policy is that they can help students with their learning environment by putting another school day the students can learn more topics about their course and help them learn it faster. Another pro for this policy is that they can make the time for their course rather shorter because of the added 6 days policy.
The cons for this policy is that they can be proven hassle for the students coming to school an extra day and making them do more work for them to finish. Another con is that they have a lesser time to do their requirements making Sunday the day to do all the things they needed to do. The third con for this is that more work for the students to do because of the extra school day for them and because of that it can stress the students and make their time rather harder for them.
My stand on this argument is that I think they should take out the 6 days policy because it can be proven that the policy can be rather tiring and stressful for the students although it can shorten the time of their course still it is making it very hard for the students to learn their subjects and it is making them do more stuff and giving them little time to finish their requirements.
